BEST BREED FOR YOU
Yes! There is a best breed for YOU!
When choosing a dog, people often choose based on size and appearance. Lets talk about it!

Keeping the whole package of the dog in mind, and not just what’s on the outside, will prevent situations where dogs end up for adoption because they don’t match the energy and lifestyle of the family.

All to often, I run into people who have acquired a dog expecting it to adapt to them when, in fact, that's the main reason dogs are surrendered to shelters and rescues, a lot actually being purebred. Did you know there are actually 7 groups of breeds? Research is a must for telling which may be the best for you. Even if you choose or have a mixed breed, research will help to understand your dog's personality and needs. Set you, your family and your new or current pup, up for success by choosing the right one or just better understanding yours. And remember look at adopting before shopping.

GIVING BACK

Volunteering is the most rewarding way to help homeless pets everywhere, And its easier than you think! As a rescue foster mom myself, I can say without a doubt..
"Helping save one dog will not change the world, but for that one dog the world has changed forever "- Karen Davison.
And it makes us better people too!

I hear all to often, "I could never do that, I'd keep them all!" Yes, it can be tough to see them go, but the happiness you see in their new family is something you'll never get tired of. Knowing that you're filling a hole in their lives is special, and what's more, the approval I see in my foster dogs face, is almost like they are telling ME its ok, like they are saying "thank you", and will gladly leave knowing they are now truly home.

It's the most selfless and rewarding experience and I do not and will not ever regret it.

I also get updates often and get to watch them thrive in their new homes. Along with your donations, time and loving care, you can make a difference no matter how small. Even if you can't take in a dog, there are many ways to help, all skills are needed somewhere, so click the volunteer button to start making a difference today!

DOG PSYCHOLOGY?
WHAT IS IT?
Do you ever wonder why your dog does what they do? What does that body posture mean? Why do they try to bury their dog dish or lick the air? Maybe they bark at certain people and not others. Is that tail wag really a sign of happiness or excitement...or something else?
I did too!

Dog psychology is the study of how dogs think, learn, and behave, focusing on their natural instincts, emotions, and social dynamics.
It helps dog owners and trainers understand why dogs act the way they do, allowing for better communication and behavior modification. By addressing the root causes of behaviors rather than just the symptoms, dog psychology promotes healthier, happier relationships between dogs and their humans. And I'm here to help you understand it!
