FAQs & ANSWERS
HOW LONG DOES TRAINING TAKE?
Every dog is different in how they respond. That is why I approach every dog with a customized plan that works best for their personality, age, breed and situation. The duration of the training plan also depends on the consistency and practice in everyday living outside the training sessions.
WHAT IS THE PREFERRED METHOD AND WHY?
Rewards Based-Balanced Training.

I believe in the relationship between actions and reactions/consequences. Every training session is focused on rewarding the positive behaviors we want to reinforce, while still allowing for necessary corrections when needed.

Rewards are what your dog views as high value, whether it be food, treats, toys or even praise.

The corrections are usually leash corrections, negative noise, or a strong verbal tone.

The goal is to be extremely simple and clear, so the dog is not confused but encouraged to do the positive behaviors we are looking for.
WHAT IS THE RIGHT AGE TO START TRAINING?
Right away!
Dogs are constantly learning. Whether that training is good or bad is up to us. A pup is never too young or too old to learn something new. It's up to us, as their leaders, to teach them the good stuff.
CAN YOU TAKE MY DOG AND RETURN IT TRAINED?
This method is called "Board and Train". Although I could temporarily take your dog and train them for you, I am not currently set up for this. However, although this can be effective for some dogs I don't believe this is the most beneficial method for most dogs and their families. The training process is for both you and your dog. Without you involved through the process, and in the dog's most familiar environment, the opportunity to bond would be lacking and the training could/would likely be unsuccessful long term. Your dog has the best chance if you both learn, communicate, bond and change together every step of the way.
ANY RESTRICTIONS?
Unfortunately, I am not currently accepting any "red zone" dogs."Red zone" refers to any dogs with a repeat bite history, highly reactive or aggressive dogs. However, Some behaviors are easily misunderstood and require proper evaluation to ensure you and your pup are getting the right assistance so I am open to a free consultation with these dogs to evaluate the core trigger and recommend another trainer for these specific issues if needed.
